The Hindi film Three Idiots which had Amir Khan in the lead role was released last December 2009. This film was a great hit worldwide. Madhavan has also acted in an important role in this film.
The Tamil and Telugu remake rights have been acquired by Gemini Film Circuit. Director Shankar has been signed to direct these remake versions. Now Shankar is busy in the story discussion of this film.
In the Telugu version Pawan Kalyan will be doing the role which Amir Khan. The hero for the Tamil version has not been announced till now. But there are rumors in Kollywood that Vijay will be doing the lead role. Sources say that Shankar will make the necessary announcements in due course.
